September 3, 2009 – (RealEstateRama) — Ralph S. Boelter, Special Agent in Charge of the Minneapolis FBI office, today, announced the federal arrest of Ma Myrrelli Juanillo Asuncion, age 29, of Cottage Grove, Minnesota. On Saturday, August 29, 2009, at approximately 4:00 pm, the Wells Fargo Bank located at 2945 White Bear Avenue, Maplewood, Minnesota, was robbed by a lone female. The robber entered the bank, approached the victim teller, and presented a demand note for money. The robber fled the bank on foot and was last seen heading west toward the Maplewood Mall. On Sunday, August 30, 2009, Ma Myrrelli Juanillo Asuncion turned herself in to the Minneapolis Field Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
On Tuesday, September 1, 2009, a federal criminal complaint was filed in United States District Court, District of Minnesota, St Paul, Minnesota, charging Ma Myrrelli Juanillo Asuncion with one count of bank robbery for the alleged August 29, 2009, robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank, located at 2945 White Bear Avenue, Maplewood Minnesota. Also, on September 1, 2009, Asuncion made her Initial Appearance in United States District Court and was held pending further court proceedings.
This investigation is a joint effort by the Maplewood Police Department and the FBI. The United States Attorney’s Office, District of Minnesota is prosecuting this case.
