Safety improvements to Hwy 10 and Feldspar Street in Ramsey begin Monday, June 1

-

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – June 1, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — The median crossover on Highway 10 at Feldspar Street in Ramsey will close to traffic at 7 a.m. Monday, June 1 as construction crews begin work on safety improvements to the intersection. The closure will allow crews to construct a new raised median island in the highway crossover to prevent motorists from making unsafe, prohibited left turns at the intersection.

Motorists will also encounter short-term, non-rush hour lane closures in each direction of Highway 10. Traffic will still be allowed to make right turns on or off Highway 10 at Feldspar Street. Turns across the crossover will not be permitted while it is closed.

An overnight closure and detour of eastbound Highway 10 also will be scheduled next week to install a pipe beneath the roadway. Further information will be released once the date is scheduled.

During the closures, traffic will follow signed detours:

  • Westbound Highway 10 traffic will continue west on Highway 10 to Ramsey Boulevard and then turn left onto Riverdale Drive to reach Feldspar Street south of Highway 10.
  • Eastbound Highway 10 motorists will continue east to the next median crossover and make a U turn to reach Feldspar Street north of Highway 10.

Work will be completed by the end of June, weather permitting.
