Straight River Groundwater Management Area public meetings slated for Aug. 25

-

WASHINGTON, D.C. – August 19, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is hosting two public meetings in August to present and take comments on the Straight River Groundwater Management Area draft plan. The plan describes actions the DNR will take over the next five years in the proposed groundwater management area.

These local meetings will allow the DNR to introduce the proposed plan, describe the process used to develop it, and explain the actions in the plan. Most important, it gives the agency the opportunity to hear initial feedback from citizens.

The DNR will accept public comments on the draft plan through Sept. 12. People can comment by completing a survey on the project Web page at www.dnr.state.mn.us/gwmp/area-bv.html. Comments can also be submitted by email to robert.guthrie (at) state.mn (dot) us.
