WASHINGTON, D.C. – August 12, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Starting tomorrow, Aug. 12, West River Parkway from Plymouth Avenue to Portland Avenue in downtown Minneapolis will close to traffic so crews can remove and replace the driving surface. The parkway will reopen for weekend traffic Friday evening, Aug. 14 and then close again 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17. Weather permitting, the resurfacing work will be completed by Tuesday, Aug. 18.

On-street parking will be affected by the closure. Starting today, Aug. 11, temporary “no parking” signs will be in place.

A number of construction projects are affecting traffic in Downtown this season. To help drivers know about all of the current and upcoming work, the City has mapped these projects. Links to the maps are at www.minneapolismn.gov/publicworks/traffic.
